Validating is important, or even relevant, because poorly-written markup is completely unpredictable; you end up relying on a browser’s error-handling, and even though most browsers are very good about this, it’s a bad practice to rely on it. Using valid XHTML, CSS is the first step to creating accessible pages.

All browser support

More than 20% of visitors are using browsers other than Internet Explorer. Since a web page can be interpreted differently by different browsers with different capabilites, and since the language of a web page - HTML, is constantly evolving, accessibility must be considered to make a page usable by as many people as possible. There is simply no reason for limiting your potential audience by requiring the use of concrete browser.

Font resizing enabled

Some people with moderate low vision (including older people with changing abilities due to aging) rely on browser text resizing when necessary. Yes, they could use their screen magnifiers, but they might access site from another computer, such as at a library, that does not have screen magnification software available. Even people with good vision need to increase text size when it is very small because of high screen resolution, higher distance from screen, when they are fatigued...

Screen reading software ready

Those who can't read or print at all usually use talking programs. Talking programs are also useful for print disabilities other than visual impairments, such as dyslexia. People with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the Web, and that they can contribute to the Web. Finally, this technology could be useful to mainstream users to access information when the eyes are busy elsewhere.

Full accessibility

Accessibility is aimed at making the web site open to a wider user population. The design is flexible enough to be usable by people with the widest possible range of abilities and communication styles, and the design can operate within the widest possible range of situations (technologies, environments, conditions and circumstances - graphics off or on, javascript off or on, flash player not available, variable colors, and so on).

High usability

Usability is determined by user satisfaction, ease of learning, ability to remember organizational structure and functionality, user effectiveness, and efficiency. Web usability is about making your website in such a way that your site users can find what they're looking for quickly and efficiently. A usable website can reap huge benefits on to your website and your business. Usability is very much like quality: you typically notice it only when it is missing.
